8 First Paragraph: My mother drove me to the airport with the windows rolled down. It was seventy-five degrees in Phoenix, they sky a perfect, cloudless blue. I was wearing my favorite shirt-sleeveless, white eyelet lace; I was wearing it as a farewall gesture. My carry-on item was a parka.
9. This book is the first of four.
10. I obtained this book by looking through Mrs. O'Shane's book shelf.
11. I read this book because I have already watched the movies and everyone has read them and said they were really good. I wanted to read them for myself and see how good they really were.
12. I thought this book was well done. The author gives many interesting details that helps create imagery for the reader. I would deffinately recommend this book to other people who have not read it yet.
13. QUOTES:
"He's like a drug for you."
"Fall down again Bella?"
“I like the night. Without the dark, we'd never see the stars.”
“About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him-and I didn’t know how potent that part might be-that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.”
“Even more, I had never meant to love him. One thing I truly knew - knew it in the pit of my stomach, in the center of my bones, knew it from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, knew it deep in my empty chest - was how love gave someone the power to break you”
14. There is a preface to this book, and the preface foreshadows how the book might end. Bella talks about dying which makes the reader think that she might die at the end of the book.
15. Entertaining, descriptive and suspensful
16. Themes: drama, romance, suspense
17. The movie version left out alot from the book.
19. Rating 9. I gave this a nine because the author did a good job on the details and gave it suspense throughout the book.
20. I am going to read New Moon now.
